Leave Maldon South on the B1018 until Latchingdon. At hte mini roundabout by the church with a spire follow unclassified road to Mayland. Take first left after the speed limit sign entering Mayland.
Park in the area shown by the photo below and walk off up the grass to the left by the path vehicular crossover.
After a few metres you will be on the river flood wall shown below
This is a possible alternative location called B by the pumping station. More info if likely to be used.
