The JKsquared Room Bookings Software has been designed to produce a paper free rooms booking system overseen by assigned program administrative users, (not the same as network administrative users). Availability can be seen at a glance and allowable bookings made/cancelled with a single mouse click. Stats for room usage are generated. The program can also be used to book other resources, eg computers in a library, tennis courts, sewing machines etc provided the description of the item can be shown using 15 characters or less.
The program :-
• Allows staff to check availability and book rooms automatically over a LAN.
• Allows administrative over-ride facilities.
• Users are checked to be who they claim against the network server.
• Users are permitted to book free rooms or cancel their own bookings, but not overwrite other peoples' entries.
• Generates room usage statistics - useful when re-locating resources or bidding for more equipment.
• Can use a look up table when staff LAN logon codes are different from their staff codes, so viewing who is in which room is made easy.
• Prints hard copy of the booking / availabiility data on request
• Can choose to allow bookings on Saturdays and Sundays or warn a day is a weekend.
• If holiday periods are selected the user is informed.
• Can use differing day lengths / teaching times across the week.
• Can block replicate pre-timetabled room use.
• Easy entry of holiday dates and training days.
• Can be run at machine booking level rather than room booking level for students' club reservations or library bookings etc.
• Saves a great deal of staff time.
